85% of our premium leather goods are proudly handcrafted with great care and skill here in the USA. We are also honored to partner with master artisans in Mexico who are carrying on generations-long traditions of fine leather crafting to create four of our specialty leather bags.
What type of leather do you use?
Bandera Leather uses only full-grain leather, which is considered the most desirable cut of leather in terms of durability and the beauty with which it ages. Full-grain leather retains the outermost layer of the cow’s hide with the original grain surface left intact. It contains the strongest and most densely packed fibers of the hide, making it exceptionally durable. Since the original grain surface is intact, it shows the natural hide’s markings. Over time, full-grain leather will develop a distinct and rich patina (glossy sheen) that will deepen in character with each use. Our full-grain leather will tell the singular and unique story of your adventures.

How do I care for myfull‑grain leather item?
Care is simple
Wipe clean with a soft,dry cloth.
Condition lightly with a neutral leather conditioner every few months. Avoid harsh chemicals or prolonged sun exposure to preserve the leather’s natural beauty.
How does full‑grain leather compare to other types of leather?
Full‑grain leather is the strongest and most durable type of leather. Unlike top‑grain or bonded leather, it retains the hide’s natural surface, making it last for decades while developing a richpatina over time.
